Working with Colours

Webinar on Teams: Tuesday, June 14th, 2022 @ 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Your eyes see in RGB. Red, green and blue. And your brain loves contrast, light and dark.

In unison your eyes and your brain enable you to perceive spaces. So how would you go about catering to your senses when planning to paint your home?

I’ve got 25+ years of experience in just that. So follow me into this webinar, where I give you the best tips and tricks I know, and use daily in my designs.

Knowing this will enable you to:

  • Understand the human relationship to colors

  • Understand what happens in the eye and the brain

  • Understand basic color theory

  • Work with color scheme as an architectural tool

  • Color your entire home

In Part 1, I will talk about how the eye works and how the brain perceives the color impressions.

In Part 2, I will review common color theory, such as the division of colors on a color wheel. Among other things, you will also learn about complementary colors and shades.

In Part 3, I will 1) describe what architectural principles I use to reconnect the human way of living with its built-in experience of nature and 2) show examples of how I have used colors to substantiate the principles.

Decorating

with fractals and speed

Webinar on Teams: Tuesday, August 9th, 2022 @ 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Whether you are renovating or building a new home from scratch, this webinar will give you powerful tools to design your interior in a whole new way.

You will be introduced to the wild concept of speed versus perception, which is an incredibly cool hack, when you need a different view of the task at hand.

I will also introduce you to how your human brain interprets and prioritizes what your eyes see at speed, which is crucial to how you perceive the world and the home around you.

This webinar is hacked that lets you decorate like a pro.

This webinar will enable you to:

  • Understand concepts such as that we see in fractal patterns so as not to overload the brain, and that we adjust what we experience with the speed at which we move

  • Use what you have learned, to understand the interior design of your home in a new and much more customized experience

  • Decorate spaces to suit the way you experience them

Bathroom Makeovers

Your bathroom is the space you frequent most. Now, most of us want it to be a comfortable, wellness like experience. Giving it a makeover will upgrade the entire feeling of your home. Yet it's also one of the most expensive tasks you can undertake in your home. So how do you go about it? How do you stay on budget? How do you end up feeling you've spent your time and money just right? Join me for a thorough walkthrough of all you need to know.

Knowing this will enable you to:

  • Act professionally to change and unforeseen events.

  • Specify and hold on to a specific design line.

  • Find the right assets for your build, and it will allow you to check the quality during the build.

  • Form an opinion on what brands you enjoy.

In Part 1, I'll take you through the entire process from the first idea, the designing, to getting the quote, signing the contractor, assessing the risks, monitoring the build, checking the quality, all the way to following up on the build a year after.

In part 2, I'll take you through all the design considerations and restrictions I usually deal with. This is where we identify the design epoch of your house and where I dive into sketching out the considerations you need to have when trying to get everything to fit into a poetic layout.

In part 3, I'll detail the different assets you need to install in the bathroom. Where to place them, at what height and so on. As for the assets, I'll cover everything, from surface cladding to sanitary ware and accessories.
